SELF SUSTAINABLE SHELTERS
We started Nandi Products as an initiative a few years ago with the aim to move towards the self-sustainability of our shelters. We executed the production of completely natural products made of natural ingredients derived mainly from our own shelters across the country. We used gau-mutra (cow urine), govar (cow dung), etc. to make natural floor cleaners, green fertilizers, incense cones, and uplas (dried govar palettes that are radiation resistant and are used in Vedic yagyas and as manure for plants), radiation resistant govar bricks and several other products - representing not just a movement towards self-sustenance, but a commitment to a more sustainable environment. These Nandi products also helped us send across a very important message to the wider community - that our Gauvansh are still relevant and useful - even when they are termed as ‘unproductive’! We make our products with utmost care and attention to detail, using only the finest of ingredients. since the year 2021-22, we are making over 20 different types of hand-made products including govar bricks that are radiation resistant, and managed to move a small step closer to a more self-sufficient cause and a more sustainable environment.
