With all the technological, scientific and economic developments, it comes as a rude shocker that hunger remains the number 1 cause of death across the world. According to the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) which gives a Global Hunger Index (GHI) says that India is 67th among the worst 80 countries in terms of malnourishment and approximately 230 million people go to bed hungry, every day.
Dhyan Foundation has taken to the cause to feed the hungry across the country through daily Food Distribution Camps in 20 cities across the country, organised at various hospitals, temples and labour chawks. There are also special camps organised on Amavasya, Poornima, Ashtami and other festivals.
